Pergola Kit Assembly in Gilbert, AZ
Gilbert backyards were built for pergolas: big patios, full sun, and HOAs that like things done right. We assemble kits from Costco and Home Depot and anchor them for monsoon winds, because an unanchored pergola in a microburst becomes a very large kite.

Sonoran Standard is not a licensed contractor. Under Arizona law, that limits us to small, minor jobs: under $1,000 total, labor and materials together, and only where your city does not require a building permit. Permit rules differ by city, so ask your building department first. If a job is over that limit or needs a permit, we can't take it.
Power Ranch to Agritopia, shade is the upgrade
Gilbert's newer builds come with blank-slate patios in full afternoon sun. A pergola is the difference between a backyard you photograph and one you use in July. Check with your HOA and the town before you buy the kit. If the town wants a permit, we can't take the job.
Gilbert pergola kit assembly questions, answered
Do you handle Gilbert HOA requirements for pergolas?
Check with your HOA before you buy the kit. What we handle is the job site, and we keep it tidy enough that the HOA's only note is the new pergola.
Kit or custom for a Gilbert backyard?
We only assemble kits. A custom build is licensed contractor work in Arizona, and Sonoran Standard is not a licensed contractor. If a kit fits your space, send photos of the patio and the kit and we'll tell you whether it's a job we can take.
